The Future of Wellness and it‘s new Parameters – From Energy to Labor Market

Abstract: The future of wellness will focus on a holistic approach that considers physical – and mental health as well as emotional well-being. This shift will be driven by advancements in technology, changing consumer preferences, and a growing awareness of the impact of stress or lack of sleep on overall well-being. The labor market will also see a greater focus on wellness programs, flexible work arrangements and reskilling as technology transforms current jobs.

Transforming your thinking - understanding the true value of your spa business and its people

Abstract: Exploring the concept of the human connection in a medi-spa environment, Beata will discuss how advanced training and education for therapists not only empowers them to deliver a truly personalised service but also improves client satisfaction and rebooking. To deliver real transformation for clients, the true value of the people who deliver it must be recognised. Beata will examine how training should move beyond the technical level to embrace the mind-body connection by elevating ‘soft skills’ like emotional resilience, mindfulness and life skills coaching.

What is Medi Wellness?

Abstract: Our speakers will explore what medi wellness means to them and the companies they work for and how to ensure that medi wellness maintains standards and credibility.

Idiopatic scoliosis – Spiral Stabilization of the Spine

Abstract: Idiopathic scoliosis is the most common type of scoliosis, causing the spine to develop an abnormal curve. On a clinical case I am going to demonstrate a potential source of this pathology development and the risk features in the body posture. I will introduce treatment of idiopathic scoliosis by “Spiral Stabilization of the Spine” which consists of a complex system of physical exercises and manual therapies. This method reflects the underlying physiology of functional muscle chains described first by MUDr. Richard Smíšek. The treatment leads to targeted reinforcement of the corset muscles, relaxation of shortened and overloaded muscles, improvement of movement coordination and proprioception of the patient. After this presentation, you will be able to identify idiopathic scoliosis and evaluate how to approach an appropriate targeted treatment. In general, the presentation will serve a greater awareness of idiopathic scoliosis and hopefully contribute to more precise therapy in children and adults.

Transformation in Health Tourism Offers

Abstract: Wellness is more than being pampered. It’s about life. Life as a whole. The good, healthy and happy life.

Future wellness strategies will therefore have to initiate processes of change and will have to develop a comprehensive repertoire of physical, mental, social and spiritual offerings. For the future success of the wellness industry, it will be crucial to provide concrete sets of interventions geared to each wellness seeker’s actual life situation and desired improvements.

It can be observed that the wellness and medical sectors, which until now have operated rather independently, seem to be converging more and more. Both sectors understand their vast common intersections and how much they are following the same principle of success: the transformation to a better self.

Traditional wellness providers will have to learn that real change will only come through personal commitment, activity, exercise, determination, effort and consistency, and not primarily through “pampering oneself.” Medical providers on the other hand must understand that their first priority is to maintain health and not to repair disease.

Both mega markets – wellness and medical – are therefore united by the same maxim: their clients’ desire for change and their common goal to create sustainable transformative processes so as to win over the demanding customer of the future.

Wellness and medical.

A synergy straight out of a picture book.

The Business of Spa & Wellness in a Post Pandemic World

Abstract: Mr Huey is focusing in this talk on the financial performance of the spa industry pre-pandemic, the years of the pandemic and how we have rebounded in the time following 2021. He will also be talking about the rise of the term “wellness” as we move into a new era for spa, and how this term is as diverse and wide ranging as the people who use it and how we can adjust our thinking to hopefully capture this trend in a fiscally smart way. He also will talk about lessons he’ve learned from moving out of a traditional spa model and into a more wellness focused spa business.
