Transforming your thinking - understanding the true value of your spa business and its people

Abstract: Exploring the concept of the human connection in a medi-spa environment, Beata will discuss how advanced training and education for therapists not only empowers them to deliver a truly personalised service but also improves client satisfaction and rebooking. To deliver real transformation for clients, the true value of the people who deliver it must be recognised. Beata will examine how training should move beyond the technical level to embrace the mind-body connection by elevating ‘soft skills’ like emotional resilience, mindfulness and life skills coaching.

Idiopatic scoliosis – Spiral Stabilization of the Spine

Abstract: Idiopathic scoliosis is the most common type of scoliosis, causing the spine to develop an abnormal curve. On a clinical case I am going to demonstrate a potential source of this pathology development and the risk features in the body posture. I will introduce treatment of idiopathic scoliosis by “Spiral Stabilization of the Spine” which consists of a complex system of physical exercises and manual therapies. This method reflects the underlying physiology of functional muscle chains described first by MUDr. Richard Smíšek. The treatment leads to targeted reinforcement of the corset muscles, relaxation of shortened and overloaded muscles, improvement of movement coordination and proprioception of the patient. After this presentation, you will be able to identify idiopathic scoliosis and evaluate how to approach an appropriate targeted treatment. In general, the presentation will serve a greater awareness of idiopathic scoliosis and hopefully contribute to more precise therapy in children and adults.

ANDORRA; AN IDEAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS DESTINATION.

Andorra is the country of health and wellness tourism par excellence. Thousands of visitors choose Andorra as their main destination each year, due to the fact it offers a wide range of experiences in a unique, idyllic, and unforgettable setting in the heart of the Eastern Pyrenees.

Andorra is also synonymous with nature, 92% of its total surface area is forest territory, making it a paradise for lovers of nature and outdoor activities.

In addition, Andorra allows its inhabitants to enjoy its valleys to connect with nature and relieve stress. Not to mention the benefits the thermal waters of the small principality offer, such as helping to relax body and mind. The thermal waters allow visitors to enjoy one-of-a-kind moments alone, as a couple, with the family or in a group.

ANDORRA, A SMALL COUNTRY WITH BIG OPPORTUNITIES.

As an agency who promotes business and investments in Andorra, Andorra Business works in strategic sectors, being health and wellness and biotechnology some of them.

In that field we support these companies to establish in Andorra and connect them to the medical and wellness sector.

Immunology research center by Grifols is an example of health investments companies establishing in our country.

Also, we have been working in a new biomedical research law that is about to be passed.

Andorra Health Destination, created and supported by Andorra Business, is an Andorran association of companies which offers a quality health experience focused on consumers and tourists who are concerned with taking care of their body and mind.

Our main focus is in the following three areas:

– Medical and integrative treatments

– Sports medicine treatments

– Wellness treatments and thermal baths.

Guest and patient experiences are often influenced by minor details or nuances. Some of these have nothing to do with the actual treatment or service, e.g. residual scents of creams and oils. Customers’ statisfaction may negatively be influenced by such experiences. To prevent such unwanted outcomes operators need to revisit their guest journeys and apply the wellbeing experience design approach to every step and component. The masterclass will introduce this approach and shows how it can be adapted to medical wellness scenarios. We introduce on actual guest/patient journeys how the wellnessification actually is done in practice. We select 3 participants to submit their guest journey pre-congress. During the masterclass we will discuss potential journey points and hands-on solutions how the total wellbeing of the guests/patients can be improved.
