Unveiling the Holisticscape Framework for the Wellness Spa Experience – Dr Cristina Valente-Pedro
The “Holisticscape” concept, developed during a PhD research thesis in Tourism at the University of Algarve – Faculty of Economics, defines the key stimuli shaping wellness spa tourists' experiences and their impact on holistic health. This multidimensional framework comprises six dimensions: ambient, social, experiential, body, mind, and spirit stimuli. Anchored in Portugal’s wellness tourism industry, particularly in the Algarve region, the study integrates perspectives from multiple stakeholders, including tourists, spa professionals, and destination managers. This research highlights how integrating diverse stimuli enhances physical, mental, and spiritual well-being and provides valuable insights into enriching wellness spa tourism experiences. The findings offer a holistic framework for wellness spa organisations crafting transformative health experiences. As practical, this study focuses on the design elements and practices that enhance tourists’ holistic health and satisfaction in competitive wellness spa markets. Attendees can leverage these insights to design better environments and services that meet the rising global demand for wellness tourism. This research supports the global wellness tourism industry's shift toward lifestyle enhancement and preventive health, offering evidence-based strategies to improve sensory environments, customise services, and foster meaningful social interactions with mental and spiritual engagement for creating impactful, transformative, tourist-centric wellness experiences.

Using Touchless Technologies – hardware and social “software” in the integration of Mental Wellness into any offering – Alina M. Hernandez
The acceleration and velocity of the Digital Age is necessitating a rethink on the boundaries between products and services and how they are merging into integrated experiences – and mental wellness is a common thread. Touchless technologies, both hardware and experiences are at the heart of a new hybrid wellness experience. The Touchless Wellness model also encourages social interaction, inclusivity and its byproducts have the capacity to seamlessly create and encourage “Social Technologies” to set up both environments and the design of services to provide many mental wellness opportunities and elevate the guest experience and take-home value of any offering. The new way to design experiences can build bridges between Touchless offerings to sit alongside and complement the traditional touch offering – creating more excitement and ROI.

Integrity Mental Well-being in Spa - Maria Jose Bordera Rojas
The World Health Organization defines mental health as "a state of well-being in which every individual realizes their potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to their community."

When we apply this concept to Spas and the elements that comprise them, both material and human factors, integrity and mental well-being emerge as very important aspects.

Integrity in this context can refer to authenticity and ethics in how individuals interact with the group and the environment.

Assessment + Consultation = Personalization & Results – Marilyn Vines
How do we approach wellness without an embedded Assessment + Consultation approach to our client experience? How do we offer personalization without first knowing about our clients and their key concerns? How do we target mental health in a wellness setting without knowing if it is under stress for the individual? Assessment + Consultation are two vital steps in the wellness journey that are often side-stepped so we can leap directly into the treatment. While longevity clinics apply assessments and consultation intrinsically to their programming, if spas and wellness resorts are to position themselves as cure destinations, then Assessment + Consultation needs to be default by nature. We will explore a variety of ways spas, clinics and hotels can approach this vital diagnostic step in their customer experience journey by effortlessly integrating into their room reservations, treatment bookings and therapies delivery protocols. From Astronaut's health to longevity on Earth – Dr. Filippo Ongaro
Research in space has contributed to the understanding of the effect of physical exercise, nutrition, supplementation and stress reduction in counteracting the aging process. Specifically, research on astronauts and on volunteers in bed rest studies has indicated the central role of muscle loss and bone loss in promoting aging. This knowledge is extremely valuable to develop new approaches for people on Earth.

Health systems around the world face the enormous challenge of managing a growing number of elderly that live long but lose their health and fitness early. Increasing health span should be therefore a priority for all of us and a personal responsibility for a sustainable future.

To reach this objective health professionals need a new approach that blends practical tools with the capacity to install new habits using knowledge provided by neuroscience. We call this approach neurocoaching.

Spa-A has launched an exploratory study to understand key players, issues, opportunities, legislation and porous boundaries of THE different universes.

Why are new technologies increasingly attractive, who can practice, where and how? Compliance with French regulations prevents certain practices in spas and beauty salons (which are authorized abroad), while holistic, integrative, Medspa and wholeness spa concepts are flourishing, and retreats are enjoying unprecedented success.

If mental health is a national cause in 2025, what about spas and wellness centers? What practices are developing in France? What are the pitfalls to avoid?
